Remember the old adage that you will get out of something what you are willing to put into it, or something to that effect. As your networking group becomes familiar to you, and the people become more than the face of a banker or and insurance provider, but become friends and associates it time to start the ball rolling in your group.
At that point, the activity should pick up for you in the form of referrals and leads. If you are not finding the activity level you want, the first place to look is at yourself.
Sitting in a group and advertising yourself is exceedingly limiting. You must be willing to “pay” into the system to receive the results you want. People do not work for free. Remember, we do not meet to get anything. Your attitude should be how I can help and what can I provide. This is the most effective way to create the energy producing the results you ultimately want. Take the time to meet outside the group one on one. Find out what you can provide each member and give it to the system and the results will begin to return as you “pay” into the system.
